Yes, I said I'd rant, but, well, not yet. Just a meme, gakked from the lovely jade_plume.

1 - Farscape
Second time's the charm, jade_plume. Chiana! Because of her looks, and the way she moves, and her interaction with Crichton, and her relationship with D'Argo (sp?), and herself really. She's just so interesting.
But Aeryn was a very close second.

2 - Boomtown
*points at the icon* That was giving it away, really. Yep, jade_plume again, it was Joel. Donnie Wahlberg's fault. Because he's such a good guy, and so lost with his wife, and I love his interaction with Fearless, and Donnie plays him so wonderfully. He smiles and I'm happy. (David McNorris came a close second, for the record.)

3 - Six Feet Under
That one puzzled a lot of people, but heikki_cheren knew of my love for Billy. Yes, Billy Chenowitz, psycho brother to Brenda. What can I say? He fascinates me. Yeah, I know he's sick. Duh. But he is so very interesting a character, in his own right and in the issues and stories he brings forth. And, also, Jeremy Sisto (complete with his voice), which doesn't hurt.

4 - Lost
Jack, as guessed (and on his first try, too...ish) by the_swordman. After much debate with myself, I chose Jack over the more predictable Sawyer, simply because I don't know whether I could write Jack. Sawyer I know from head to toe. Jack... I'm learning to know the character, and I'm loving each new discovery. Plus, Foxy can break me with a look.

5 - Oz
As the_swordman guessed, it's Ryan O'Reilly! I love Ryan. Always have. Opportunistic, completely sick and twisted vision of love, great stuff with his brother and with the doc, absolute bastard when it serves him best, all-out survivor and hottie, and I wanna see Dean play Iago some day!!!

6 - Carnivale
Jonesy! I knew you'd get it, heikki_cheren. Why? He's so flawed, and so human, and I just love him so very much. I don't truly know why. But he just keeps breaking my heart.

7 - Ultraviolet
Vaughan Rice, as was guessed by the_swordman. He's got the best lines, and I'd have loved to see more about him. His interaction with Mike I love too. And, of course, unrequited love.

8 - Queer as Folk UK
Stuart. (Not Stewart. *raises an eyebrow at Jo*) Do I even have to say why? Everything about him is sex. And I love it. And him. And the lovely Aidan Gillen, who's so very much nothing like Stuart in truth.

9 - The L Word
It's, of course, Shane, as jade_plume guessed. What can I say? I adore Katherine Moennig, and Shane isn't only sexy as hell, she's also a really interesting character. Plus, her voice. Doesn't hurt.

10 - Sports Night
It was Dan, as guessed by the_swordman. I've always felt closer to Dan than to Casey, and I loved Josh Charles from Dead Poets Society. I mean, I can't really say why I love Dan more than any of the other characters, because on that show? They're all fucking brilliant. But I do. For the same reasons I love the others, except I love him more: because he's neurotic, and witty, and sexy, and damn, I just love the guy. I don't need to justify myself!

I wish I could put Firefly, but I couldn't pick a favourite. Same thing for Doctor Who, DS9 and Babylon 5. (Hey, why only sci-fi shows?)
